Roland Curtis entered the building. Nails Sperry sent for him. Curtis didn’t know why Nails Sperry wanted to speak to him. Nails asked him about the pearl necklace. Curtis told him he had it, but he couldn’t dispose of it because of the will. Nails Sperry told him he just wanted to borrow the pearls. Nails wanted Curtis to send the pearls to the jewelers so he could fix the clasp. Nails told Curtis he was going to contact the insurance company about the missing pearls. Then, Nails would have the money for the pearls, and in three days Curtis would have the pearls. Now, you’ll have to read the story to find out what happened.
