Where is it locked in cement that legal thrillers must be written by lawyers and set in a courtroom? I’ve always wondered.
Big problem with legal thrillers today is they are not written from the “street” side of the fence. But, then, no law school teaches the law from this angle. So, I guess it figures.

Hi,
Thank for your comment. I believe that anyone could write a legal thriller as long as they have the knowledge of what happens in a courtroom or what lawyers do.
For example, if you know of someone who has been on trial for a crime, and you go to the court room, then you would be able to write a legal thriller. You might even be on a jury, and you could write a thriller using that experience.
Also, by doing research and studying legal thrillers would help to write a legal thriller. I don’t think you would have to be a lawyer to write a legal thriller.
