Nimble Fingers by W. Ryerson Johnson

100 Crooked Little Crime Stories
This is a short story that is included in the anthology, 100 Crooked Little Crime Stories. The narrator is part of a group of thieves. He is talking about Laramie and how he succeeded in pulling off his crimes. He just opened a safe, and then he followed a detective on his routes and went to the station with him. He also returned with different items that he took from the detective. Laramie had succeeded in stealing the Voutir ruby, too, and the police searched for it. You’ll have to read the rest of the story to find out what happened.
