Proof of Guilt by Bill Pronzini

The Mammoth Book of Perfect Crimes and Impossible Mysteries
Adam Chillingham was murdered in his office. George Dillon was the only one in the office, but he didn’t have the weapon that was used to murder Chillingham. The door was also locked, and there wasn’t a way to get inside the office from the window. There weren’t any other doors to the office except for the one that was locked. There wasn’t a way for someone to murder him from another building because the bullet was too small. The gun that was used wouldn’t shoot someone that far away. The police now have to figure out who killed Chllingham and how. Now, you’ll have to read the story to find out what happened.
