Strangers On A Handball Court by Lawrence Block

Strangers On A Handball Court by Lawrence Block is a great short story. It is about two guys who meet on a handball court. They started playing handball. During their time together, they started talking about their wives. Neither one shared their names. After they played handball, they went out for beer. They decided to solve their problems with their wives by agreeing to kill each other’s wife. The first one went to the house to kill the other guy’s wife and made the house look like a burglar had committed the crime. Then, he called the police anonomously and told them about some loud talking going on at the house. He wouldn’t give them his name. Later on, the second guy went to the first guy’s house and killed his wife.
Something happened after that. Now, you’ll have to read the story to find out what happened.

    I’m glad you thought that was intriguing. It was. I have an anthology of his short stories. I have also ordered another one. I also have some of his books featuring Bernie Rhodenbarr. You’ll enjoy his books. I’ve also corresponded with Lawrence Block.
