The Man from Capetownby Stuart M. Kaminsky is a great short story. This short story is found in Murder in Baker Streetedited by Martin H. Greenberg, Jon Lellenberg, and Daniel Stashower. This story features Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. A woman came to see Sherlock Holmes about her former husband. She told Holmes that she got a divorce and married another man. Now, she was afraid her former husband was going to kill her new husband. Shortly after she left, her former husband arrived to talk wih Holmes. He was afraid of some trouble from his ex-wife’s new husband. He wanted protection. After he left, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson talked and then left to start their investigation. Now, you’ll have to read the story to find out what happened.

Hi Janet,
I recently discovered Stuart Kaminsky, and love his work. So far I’ve read two of his novels, and will definitely be on the lookout for this collection of short stories. His novels “seem” simple, but in the end, he pulls some surprises!
